The successful Corporate Application Engineer (CAE) candidate is someone who combines great engineering, people and communication skills. We see him/her as an experienced, pragmatic, energetic, knowledgeable and highly technical person with the ability to adapt to changing customer situations. This person needs to have previous experience in working with customers whether on-site or remotely. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in field of electronics generally, Chip design, semiconductor IP, embedded software, hardware and EDA. This person must also have an entrepreneur-type of personality with the ability to set their own objectives and schedule based on FAEs, R&D and customer demands, needs and priority level. The CAE candidate will be able to effectively demonstrate, train and explain the Codasip products, but also provide feedback to the R&D.


The person has a central role interacting closely with Sales, FAE, Product Marketing and R&D and should be able to document customer needs and accurately communicate back to European R&D. The CAE should monitor skills in the FAE force and be able to organise suitable FAE training. The person should be able to develop or coordinate the development of collateral (such as application notes, guides and examples) for FAEs and for customers. The candidate will work closely with the Executive team as needed in all company related disciplines. 


Communication Skills


  • Good written and verbal ability to accurately communicate customer requests, action items, articulate impacts and evaluate plans.
  • Must be able to use email, Google drive documents, CRM, Jira and other enterprise and engineering related communication platforms
  • Languages: fluent English written and spoken 


 Technical skills and experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science required (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the semiconductor IP, or EDA industry
  • Processor IP experience (GPU, DSP, ASIP, microcontroller, etc) 
  • SW and HW programming skills, good knowledge of CPU toolchains
  • SoC design experience will be valued 
  • SoC or IP projects or program management is valued 


 Personal Skills


  • The CAE must understand they he/she will be working for a small, start-up, European company and as such will be highly dependent on effective communication across time zones (China, EU, North America)
  • Because we're people focused, we value and understand the power of F2F interactions, therefore this vacancy may require WW travels.
